(LEED-GA) is a multidisciplinary consultant with special interest in ecosystem services, agroforestry, climate change, aquatic and terrestrial remote sensing, geographic information
systems and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data using advanced statistical techniques – for example machine learning and spatio-temporal data analysis. Embracing a multi-faceted and
interdisciplinary approach in his work, he is always seeking to apply theoretical and practical knowledge of natural resources management to the assigned task.

A graduate of the University of the West Indies (Mona campus, Jamaica), from which he obtained his PhD in Environmental Biology, Dr Prospere quantified aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem services provided by the largest wetland in the English-speaking Caribbean. He is also a graduate of the Sustainable Tropical Forestry (SUTROFOR) program from Erasmus Mundus, and holds a MSc. in Agroforestry (University of Wales, Bangor) and Agricultural Development (University of Copenhagen, Denmark). He began his career as an Agricultural Engineer, having graduated from the University of Pinar del Rio, Cuba in 2005.
In the early stages of his career, Dr Prospere held a temporary research position at the Department of Forestry in St. Lucia. He then went on to gain meaningful field experience in tropical countries (e.g. Jamaica, Costa Rica, Cuba, Malaysia and Kenya) in the fields of agriculture, agroforestry, forest ecology, social sciences, GIS, livelihood responses to climate vulnerability and change, among others. In his most recent position as a National Focal Point for a United Nations Development Program (UNDP), he implemented climate change related projects, coordinating policy guidance, public education and pilot project initiatives geared towards inclusive low-emission risk-resilient development in a small island developing state, Saint Lucia. Throughout his studies and work-life, he has worked in multicultural, multidisciplinary and multilingual environments.

Dr Charlery is an independent, results oriented and well organized multidisciplinary consultant, with international experience from various countries across the globe. He has proven to work well with multicultural and dynamic groups for the accomplishment of common goals.

Specializing in the general field of Environmental and Resource Economics, his main focus areas include climate change (adaptation and mitigation), agricultural development, natural resource management and biodiversity conservation, specifically in developing countries. His guiding aim is to help provide solutions to problems through state-of-the-art research and consultancy, making solid contributions to better global, regional and local policy development.

Dr Charlery is an accomplished and highly qualified professional, holding a double PhD in Environmental and Resource economics (University of Copenhagen, Denmark) and Forest Ecology (University of Goettigen, Germany). He is also a graduate of the Sustainable Tropical Forestry (SUTROFOR) program from the Erasmus Mundus, holding MSc. degrees in Sustainable Tropical Forestry and Management (Technical University of Dresden, Germany) and in Agricultural Development (University of Copenhagen, Denmark). He began his career as a Forestry Engineer, having graduated from the University of Pinar del Rio, Cuba in 2004.

He has acquired over 10 years of extensive experience from working and researching in the fields of climate change, sustainable agricultural development, sustainable tropical forestry, environmental economics and natural resource management, with a focus in developing countries.
He possesses an extremely broad range of skills in both qualitative and quantitative scientific research methods, project implementation and management, particularly as it relates to contributing to the formulation of policies for sustainable development.

Dr Charlery excels at an analytical approach with the ability to identify problems and execute, with speed, initiatives leading to effective solutions.
He is a creative and innovative team player with international experience and a proven track record of delivering within the private and public sectors. He is a fluent and effective communicator (written and oral) in both English and Spanish, with additional experience in various other languages.

Dr Alexander is a data analyst with over a decade of experience conducting performance and impact evaluation as well as designing, implementing and overseeing monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEAL) activities within a development context. He specializes in portfolio analysis, key performance indicator development and analysis, data visualization and other metrics and tools to better understand and evaluate client portfolios/projects. A strong believer in using technology and data enabled capabilities to enhance decision making, he regularly leverages his skills to identify trends and other insights from complex data, facilitating faster and more effective data-driven decision-making.

Dr Alexander has a solid foundation in the statistical and analytical methods that make up the backbone of data science. He has extensive experience in data wrangling techniques, text analytics and statistical analysis. He is versed in using Microsoft Office applications, statistical packages (Stata), analytics tools (R and Python), qualitative data analysis tools (e.g. NVivo) and data visualization tools (Tableau).

Dr Alexander received his double PhD. in Management and Organizations (University of Copenhagen, Denmark) and Project Planning & Rural Development (Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain). After completion of these degree programs he conducted post-doctoral research as a Faculty member in the Department of Food and Resource Economics at the University of Copenhagen. Prior to pursuing doctoral studies, Ian was an Erasmus Mundus scholar at the University of Deusto (Spain) where he did an MBA. He also holds a MSc in Agricultural Diversification (Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena, Dominican Republic) and a BSc in Agronomy (Universidad Agraria de La Habana, Cuba).

Ian has conducted evaluations across three continents – Africa, Europe and North America (Caribbean). He has worked with both governmental and international agencies. For example, as an independent contractor he conducted an FAO-funded review of the agricultural sector in the Commonwealth of Dominica. Likewise, he undertook work commissioned by the Danish International Agency and Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) to document programme participants’ experiences and the lessons learned during the, planning, establishment, and subsequent implementation of the UniBRAIN programme during 2010 to 2011.
